The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsJust got home from an awesome concert...
I was almost worried to go because of the whole virus thing, but tix were costly and I really wanted to see this one...
Not a huge venue...casino showroom, maybe 350 ppl? maybe 500?
But still...good live music that was really soul soothing. I needed to dance and sing out loud...It was liberating, always is.
The power and vibe from good music and the people all feeling it...amazingly powerful. <3
I feel like I just came from church
sometimes we have to go with what we feel is important, not letting fear hold us back
what's so fun about concerts is actually meeting strangers. That group that hangs out in the parking lot after and smokes and chills and we make friends we never knew we had
I may never see them again, but damn, for tonight we're family it's special
this was the artist... amazing guy...this is a taste
As much as I am a hermit in my real life,
I will never be able to NOT make friends at gatherings like this...guess I am a social creature after all

(27,814 posts)I think this is the most eloquent and insightful description of the concert-going experience Ive ever read.
Music truly is the universal language, and it binds us all one to the other. And it is not necessarily a matter of bonding due to mutual tastes, but a matter of recognizing our ability to bond due to our appreciation of music in and of itself.
Thank you for sharing your so beautifully-expressed thoughts.

(13,360 posts)That's the key isn't it?
When we all sway to a Unifying tune of peace, love etc
We can all be so accepting....for a moment?
That feeling when music moves you...can't we do it always
