Do not see a book group on DU. Is that correct? (Original Post) efhmc Mar 2020 OP

I love a good mystery book that isn't the same old same old. I like it when they don't give it away too much before the end.

Donna Leon does mysteries in Venice. Louse Penny creates a world near Montreal with impossibly sweet snd quirky characters.

My suggestion is that you read both authors from book #1, as the characters develop in the series.

I also like Barbara Nadel - her detective is in Istanbul.

If you can't find these authors at your local independent bookstore, look at Powell's in Seattle. https://www.powells.com They also have used books.
