Floor cats are the ones who prefer to walk around on the floor, maybe jump up on furniture for naps but aren't into leaping or seeking out high places. Air cats are the ones you'll find on top of your kitchen cupboards or walking along the top of a door because they jumped there. The cats in the photos are examples of air cats.
