Shout out to Gen X, the only generation who can keep our asses at home without being told, the motherfucking latchkey kids, the generation used to being neglected by fucking everyone. Well be the only ones left.
We tried to tell you this overwhelming need for activities and direction was weird and lame, and now look at you. Cant even stay home for a weekend. Motherfuckers its not hard. You turn on the tv or pick up a book. AND YOU FUCKING SIT THERE NO ONE CARES THAT YOURE BORED

(8,052 posts)refuse to stay home, although they tell me they're washing their hands more . My kids (late millennial or very early Gen Z) refuse to stay home. My husband and I (both 50) are the only ones really taking this seriously and I feel like we're doing the worrying for everyone else.

(5,227 posts)I'm seeing my Gen X grandkids post pictures of themselves out celebrating St Paddys Day in crowded bars or flying all over the place because of cheap fares. My old farts friends are mostly self isolating. A lesson from this is don't generalize. We all are different. Be safe and healthy younguns.

(2,343 posts)Proud Gen X-er here! I've got friends who have their kids in every sport/ activity imaginable. It's either baseball, soccer, football, basketball, etc. They never have time for themselves! Who thinks this is a good idea?! Fortunately, my kids don't do any extracurricular activities. I'm turning then into Gen X, the sequel.
