Ok friends. I swear I have bought my last mushy bread and butter pickle because someone has got to know the right brand to buy.

Very quick and easy to do and you don't need any special canning equipment. There are lots of recipes on the internet with all kinds of variations. The brine soak makes the cucumber slices crunchy, use a mandolin for uniform, thin slices that will stay crisp. The pickling liquid and flavoring spices add the sweetness and zesty taste. They will keep about a month in your fridge, but my little batches are used up in a couple of days.
ADDING: I should mention that using the smaller, firmer pickling cukes will produce a crispier pickle. These are usually readily available in any produce section, often prepackaged in lots of 3-4.
