My street is empty - except for the lady that was riding her horse and walking her dog just now

I opened the door to wave and say hi.

She said - are you avoiding the corona?

I said yes - I'm staying put.

She said - This is my only outing!

I live in an older residential neighborhood. My street is usually not extremely busy (not a thoroughfare for buses or trucks) but cars usually go by fairly frequently. There are still cars going by but not nearly as many as usual. And there are still some airplanes, too (I live near a large airport) but there don't seem to be as many of them, either - probably because there aren't any more international flights. It reminds me a little bit of the days immediately following 9/11 when there were no airplanes at all. It's weird.

who poked their heads out at the sight of us. We made sure they all knew we were available if they needed anything, well my husband anyway. It was so odd, so quiet.

Just curious. I guess her attire might have given it away if so.............

It snowed yesterday.

Hearing the clop clop of her horse interrupted the silence.

Very strange.
