(14,015 posts)I'll go gritty with Junior Wells' "Hoodoo Man Blues", w/ Buddy Guy on guitar, Magic Sam's "West Side Soul" for a fresh take, or anything by Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers for sheer exuberance.
B.B.King is fine with me, but I'll take my blues raw.

(14,015 posts)I spent ten years listening to practically nothing but blues recordings. From original delta blues from the 30s to modern Chicago electric blues.
I was at a concert at Red Rocks in Colorado in the 80s that had quite a lineup... Bobby Blue Bland, Albert King, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Quite an evening.
