Bob Ross - The Joy of Painting (Full Episodes)I may be dating myself, but I awaited every new episode with such excitement when Bob Ross was airing regularly on PBS. It certainly wasn't to attempt to paint - my stick men aren't even recognizable. It wasn't just the miracle of seeing each painting progress, or even the final product.
It was his voice. Such a soft calming voice talking about happy little trees and clouds, friends for the trees, bubbling brooks or glass lakes, snowy mountains and those beautiful secluded cabins, and then making them come to life before your eyes. But as he spoke, one could become hypnotized by - the calm.
In this tumultuous time of chaos, I thought perhaps this could help ease some of the stress and fear within us all. Lean back, listen, relax, and escape from the "right now"; imagine the beauty that does still exist in the world.
Who knows, you may even be tempted to take up a new hobby...

I loved him - I used to tape him on VCR.....I never had any interest in painting, but his voice just zones me out
It was trance-inducing, though, especially if one had some smokeable herbal medicine handy... 
But artificial enhancement was certainly not needed to appreciate the calm.

Up, up and away when Trump is on, when Trump says something stupid, when Trump does anything. It's a miracle I can get my blood pressure to go down once in awhile.
