I'm putting this in the Lounge because I don't know where else this goes.

Mike Pence goes to a hospital full of coronavirus patients and doesn't wear a mask.

He catches the disease. So what if he is tested every day. That does not convey any sort of immunity.

Mike Pence gets the best and timeliest health care available, but it doesn't make any difference.

The office of Vice-President goes vacant.

It takes a majority vote of both Houses to confirm a Vice-president.

Nancy Pelosi invokes the "McConnell Rule" - this close to an election it should be the voters who choose the Vice-President - and she doesn't even bring it up for a vote.

*45 loses it. Article 25, heart attack, aneurism, chokes on a hamberder, whatever.

Nancy Pelosi becomes President.

Should she nominate Joe Biden to be Vice-president? McConnell would block any choice she makes anyway, so the office of Vice-president remains vacant.

President Pelosi appoints Joe Biden Special Advisor to the President, clears out the trash, starts appointing Joe Biden's cabinet.

Sanity and science is allowed to prevail.

President Pelosi issues Executive order mandating national vote by mail.

The election happens. The actual will of the people is expressed. Blue landslide.

Joe Biden is sworn in by Chief Justice Roberts. They are both wearing masks.

Like I said, crazy speculations.

Pence is beyond stupid to not understand the point of a mask. He thought he didn't need to wear one because he is regularly tested and therefore can't transmit the disease to someone else. But he didn't consider the possibility that he could catch it while visiting the clinic! Your scenario is very interesting. Even if it only lasted a few months, I love the sound of President Pelosi!

4. When Trump And Pence Act So Arrogant With Respect To This Virus - One Almost Has To Believe That...

they have some magical cure that makes them immune and prevents them from getting infected.

Think about it - Trump is supposedly a 'germaphobe'. Why is he throwing caution to the wind with regard to this virus? I would think he would not want to be anywhere near Pence after Pence's visit without a mask at Mayo. Why would Trump think that he can re-start his deplorable's rally's with 25,000 people packed shoulder to shoulder - without a mask and no social distance? It's insane?

Did Pence think he couldn't catch Covid-19 at the Mayo? Wouldn't you want to wear a mask for even some bit of protection?

I just don't get it. This whole thing is not making any sense to me? Something is rotten in Denmark!!!
