and I order important things like:
wine
ice cream
a LOT of it!
I won't even tell you the money amount I just spent, but it involved 8-10 pints of ice cream-- 3 people in the house with different preferences, and 4 bottles of wine, which 2 of us guzzle every night.
I am developing some deadly habits during this safe at home thing.

(55,007 posts)living in the middle of nowhere, we have never been treated to delivery - the one thing I miss about city life.
I am always astonished at my family and friends who go running to the store 3 or 4 times per day and even go pick up food. I would LOVE delivery!

(25,305 posts)Within a few miles of my home, I have 2 HEBs, 2 Walgreens, 2 CVS, WalMart, WalMart Neighborhood Market, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Office Depot, a zillion fast food places and tacquerias. If I'm not in my neighborhood, there is always shopping somewhere.
Planning is very foreign to me...LOL..

(2,218 posts)only started this year, but they can bring me snacks, beer, wine, whatever they have in 10 minutes after my order.
I could get my groceries delivered, but driving to the store and picking them up at a drive-through deal where they load them for me, is good enough. It is an excuse to get out and drive with very minimal people contact, everyone masked, of course.
Delivery and drive-through groceries are some happy things I have learned from the Pandemic!
