in Putnam County NY. Rushing to put out fresh sugar water for my hummingbirds. The feeders froze through. That's a first for me living here twenty years.

This is in deep South Texas.

Tree branches down everywhere this morning and low areas flooded.

My Tulips are a mixed bag of good, ok, and just plain sad. The remaining Daffodils are good, but then they are as hardy as the Welsh people they represent. Admittedly, I'm a bit biased, there. I covered the Narcissus and Bleeding Hearts. Now the wait to see if the ornamental and fruit trees were damaged.

Yesterday afternoon there was some scattered, chunky white stuff falling from the sky but not enough to cover anything. I didn't even realize it was falling until a piece the size of a grain of rice landed on my arm.

I did see a forecast that said the worst of this weather would hit along and south of the I-69 corridor. I am north of that - not FAR north, but still a bit north.

It's starting to let up, but we'll have high winds (30mpr plus) all weekend.

Can you say "power outage"? That ought to kick the "crazy" into low earth orbit.
