But I fell in love with their biscuits on first acquaintance ages ago, and their potatoes and gravy.

The way their sign is arranged can be read as 'Pope Yes', by the way, which I like to rank right up with the old 'when somebody says' 'hey mac, he's really saying Make America Catholic'....

I don't do fast food as a general rule. But once every couple of weeks I weaken for Popeyes.

There's an old joke that it's because it's a Louisiana company and it's secret code for "Pope yes", meaning pro-catholic. We love the"Pope Yes" in our house, plus it makes my wife roll her eyes every time I say "how about some Pope Yes"

bread spinach and deep fat fry it. If they do, they'll probably give you some sauce made of bacon drippings to dip the fried spinach in.
