How does one introduce a new small

kitchen appliance to the others without upsetting them? My panini press is particularly sensitive and I fear it will be jealous of my newly purchased air fryer.

2. Put the air fryer in a cabinet and station the panini press outside it

Let them get used to each other’s scent.

If you use those awesome parchment bags in your panini (recommended), let the air fryer curl up with a used one.

In a week or so, bring your air fryer out. Take turns using them, or you’ll blow a fuse.

Then, retire the panini cuz it’s just too carby.

5. I took all of my small appliances out into the patio on a sunny day....

....so they could relax and get to know one another better. The ones that are usually inside the cabinet rather than on the counter seemed to enjoy it the most, especially my old and cranky blender.
