Do pizza joints must source their jalapeo peppers from the hotter, meaner parts of hell.

I was born and raised in the Southwest and have eaten spicy food all my life. My wife likes jalapeños on her pizza’s and even though Mexican food is my favorite food style, no Mexican food dive located in or far from a barrio (Mexican/American neighborhood) serves anything near as hot as a stromboli with light jalapeños, ordered from anywhere in the U.S. WTF!
