(5,646 posts)It came out great and my wife is amazed. My hair had gotten real long and it just bothered me.
So glad I jumped in the self haircut pool. Money saved is money saved.
I will never pay for another haircut, this was so easy.

(112,521 posts)Considering that I kept it trimmed to a "professional" length, it is getting shaggy to me. The hair in back is past the length of my collar and beginning to curl. I looks really bad over my ears. I'll trim the hair out of my eyes every so often. The last time my hair was this long was when I was a college student.

Mine has been hovering around high school level most of the past six months, although Ive gotten a couple of home trims with my new clippers. If I hadnt done that itd be at college level by now.
Then again, for most of my adult life when Ive come out of the barber shop my hair is longer than that of the guys going in. So what counts as long hair is relative. Just glad I still have some at my advanced age!

(34,135 posts)since March a few days ago. I had been mostly hermiting on my farm so it did not really matter until recently when it was just out of control. I do feel human again.

(53,093 posts)My hair is like straw, but I can't bring myself to go to a salon. Quarters are way too close for my liking.

(21 posts)I was laid off 13 years ago. I bought a pair of clippers because I just couldn't afford to go to the barber every couple of weeks. Yes, I can afford a barber now but I am very happy with the results I get at home. I cut it all to 1/8 of an inch so it's kind of hard to do anything wrong.
