Buying "Weed" these days...

As a California consumer, and taxpayer, and boy are we taxed heh,
I can relate to this funny skit from our Northern neighbors (see link below).

It's still a bit surreal, after decades of fear and taking what you can get, to
walk through the open doors of a shop on a busy street, smile at the guard,
and eyes watering in the redolent skunkiness step into the brightly lit interior,
with (seemingly always) staffed by too young girls with nose rings and smacking
and snapping away on their chewing gum.

And then faced with TOO MANY choices, variants, and edibles.

Ah, to have lived to see this day

for about a week in Michigan about 50 years ago. Only no one knew it until it was over.
I was lucky enough to see the movie Ten for Two years ago in AA with John himself as MC at the State Theater.

I mean home delivery, awesome.

In saying that I can order cbd bud from amazon over here in EU but, well, it´s cbd so not a lot of point.
Visiting NL a few times was cool but could never immerse myself in it. Just some quick visits to coffee shops which was probably the last time I actually bought any weed nearly 10 years ago.

Now I just grow it, a few plants a year outdoors in pots normally will see me through but this year being 2020 has been a disaster. Pretty much no smoke since covid hit, all my starters kept dying off for one reason or another or didn´t germinate to begin with. That said now I have two baby autos on a late season grow so hoping for some x-mas bud at least.

10. Here's the best part

I was in a weed shop a few weeks ago when a cop walked in. He goes over to the counter and talked to one of the budtenders.

"Hey, how's everything going?" 'Just fine, you?'
"Oh, not too bad...everything quiet here today? Any troubles?" 'No...everything's all right.'
"Getting lots of business today?" (The place was full. She kinda swept her hand to show him.) 'Yeah. This is going to be a real good sales day.'
"You guys selling coffee today? I'd buy a cup." 'Yeah. Right next door.'
"Okay, have a nice day. Any problems, go ahead and call." 'Thanks...bye.'

Imagine ten years ago if a cop walked in on a drug deal.
