I don't think you could go wrong getting them.

That's so cool that you take notes, even if you don't remember why. When I was married, I'd drop hints all the time about things that I would like if a gift-giving occasion arose. Every year, on December 24, my husband would start freaking out that he didn't have a clue about what to get for me. Then he'd ultimately present me with something lame. I mean, seriously lame. He'd get something that involved me using the item to do something for him.
