Fire and equines just don't mix. Really glad this lovely pair made it.

Many years ago, when I moved to Calif., I walked down to the barn to check on the horses the first night I was there, and saw the whole mountain range above us on fire. Very, very scary, especially trying to figure out how to evacuate 3 horses with a two horse trailer. Fire crews were able to keep it up on the mountains, but it burned for a month. We had helicopters and news crews camped out on our road.

I really feel for the people in Calif. and other western states, during the current crop of wildfires.
