I see quite a few are up late. Lots are stressed out.

I woke up about 1am here on the west coast. I wasn’t feeling particularly worried about today. I believe a great day for America is coming. I started thinking a little about possible election interference and I had one comforting thought; remember this is trump and his spawn. They are total fuckups. Whatever they pull will be stupid and obvious. We might have a few stressful moments but we’ll get thru it. I’m confident about Joe winning. I’m more worried about the senate race.

Anyway, I wasn’t going to get onto DU, but I checked my messages and I had one from a friend that just said this is important and a link to a video. I was a little apprehensive because he’s really out there when it comes to COVID, has some bizarre ideas. But I clicked the link and some fat guy was ranting. I kept thinking I know who this is but couldn’t place him. Finally clicked it was Alex Jones. I thought OMG my friend has finally lost his mind. I watched about 30 seconds of it. All I could think is I’m glad my friend doesn’t vote. He’s got terminal cancer so I try to stay in touch with him but when he loses his marbles like this I just can’t even respond. More COVID CT, I know there are thousands if not millions of people who think this stuff. But I think sane Americans are ready for a president who doesn’t buy into this kind of crap. .

and my first cup of coffee. Settling in for a historic day on the upswing but also know we will have some violence today and for days to come. Wishing for people;s safety. Hoping all who have not voted please get off your assess and to do it. This is a fight of the soul of america and we have backed off way to many times to save it and defend it in the past. There is NO choice this time between evil and lesser of 2 evils. Its a choice between the light and the dark.

But that’s okay because I wanted to be at my polling location at 5:45 when the polls opened in Louisiana.

Holy shit, there were lots of people at my precinct. I’m normally first or second in line but I was 20th today, and it’s pretty chilly this morning for New Orleans. And they added a third precinct at my polling location (normally only two) because of power outages.

It usually takes me about 5 or 10 minutes to vote. I was there for 45 minutes today.
