And, while videos are great, sometimes reading two sentences is faster, and that matters for a lot of us--especially on a break from work.

I'm not a mind reader. I don't know what channel the writer is watching or who was speaking or what they said.

Many browsers (or security settings) don't display tweets, so a plain text version is always welcome.

I almost always ignore a post that has a link to a video without any description.

And the odd thing is that now it's done it's over a relatively minor irritant, but one of those who will never quit.
But there's reality to the straw vs camel's back. And gotta say it's been a relief.

take so long to load that it looks like the poster put up a link with nothing else for a good minute or two (and that is a long time when you're trying to pick up as much as possible as fast as you can.)

I realize different browsers act differently, and even the same browser can act differently on different computers, even when the O/S is the same. And in some of your examples, the let-down and frustration is the fault of the poster. But I wonder - that may not always be true.
