(11,686 posts)Before I get one when I am eligible I want to know what the side effects are or could be. As with the Shingles shot some have no reaction some do. My first one was horrible. I was sick for 3 days ( having the flu would have been more preferable. )
I just want to know how to plan for the shot. Do I go get it and go on about my day, get it and go home immediately, get it but prepare for getting sick the next day?
The more I hear about it the better I can plan.

(22,252 posts)Sore arm, definitely. Maybe 2 or 3 times more so than regular flu shot.
Mr YellowDog got the Moderna and had a sore arm too.
Expecting the second one to have more of a reaction because the first one starts building up antibodies which will go to work on the contents of the second shot.
Can't be much worse than the typhus shots I had before I went to Europe in the 1950s

Guess I'll stock up on comfort foods before getting the COVID vaccine in a few months.
