An omen.

The first Bald Eagle sighting. My front yard is 3-4 acre pond. We get Bald Eagles quite often, occasionally fishing and they nest very close to my farm, but I do not recall nor do my records show a sighting this early in the year. No picture, by the time I got my phone and outside he was soaring around with the sun blocking any kind of picture at all.

What grand birds they are. Soar like a eagle my friends. We saved the country and it was quite a fight. Let's keep it.

I'd only seen a bald eagle once, so I had to look them up on YouTube mostly because of the way these birds sounded. Yep, those were bald eagles all right, but they do not have the mighty bird call that I imagined they'd have.

That feeling when you are walking out in the pasture and that shadow goes over. I rarely will see a Golden as they migrate through. They are common close to us but I do not see them regularly. In fact, the only time I was able to be certain it was a golden and not a juvie bald was when it was sitting on road kill and was not about to move as I came up. lol

Impressive birds.
