Sometimes I get nervous when too many good things happen to/for me

First, the (physician prescribed) supplements I ordered on Monday that were supposed to arrive Sunday got here YESTERDAY. I saved about $7 by not paying for 2 day shipping, and still got them in just 2 days.

Then I was moaning that I was so frustrated about being signed up on the county health department Covid vaccine pre registration list for over a month, with still no word on when I can get an appointment. BAM! I get an email from Meijer saying they have the vaccine and are accepting pre registrations. I signed up on Monday, got the text yesterday and I'm heading out, in about an hour, to get the jab.

So, will there be a third happy surprise or should I start to wonder if the fates are setting me up for something.

I'm having a mix of elation and nervousness about this vaccination, today. I've never had a bad (or any) reaction to a vaccination and, believe me, I had PLENTY of them when I was in the Navy. Still, I've read such a mixed bag of the side effects. Guess I'll just take an Ativan and expect the best.

And I can't wait to get started on more Spring and Summer photos. I'm alr eady planning the changes I'm going to make to my flower beds.

But, it's a bright and sunny day, the roads are all clear, my whole journey to and from my Covid Jab appointment should take only about an hour (I might do a bit of shopping, as long as I'm there.) And then I'm halfway to being pretty much protected. Although I will still be wearing a mask and taking every precaution, probably for the rest of the year, when ever I leave the house. And I'll be doing that, gladly.

So many terrible things happen every day. If a few good things happen in your life, embrace them with joy!

Don't worry, shit will happen. Be happy whenever you can.

For reasons I cannot fathom, I was able to get my two doses of the Moderna vaccine. I didn't cut the line. I didn't cheat. I followed all of the instruction truthfully and the NYC Health Department gave me the medication. I'm happy to be "inoculated."

The "fates" are imaginary but how about this:

Don't worry. Be happy!

The work's title, Good Things Come in Pairs (haoshi chengshuang), is a Chinese proverb. It can also be read as an allusion to the Chinese philosophical principle that when the forces of yin and yang—or male and female—are in balance, harmony and order are achieved.

Happy for you you are scheduled for your 1st shot! I get my 2nd shot Saturday.
