I wasn't challenging you, I was just curious as to why you picked Schenectady in particular. smirkymonkey Feb 2021 #6

Is a Target distribution Center north of there in Wilton with good paying jobs. They seem to always be hiring.

Any particular reason or was it just a random choice?

It's pretty close to Albany. I used to take the train up from NYC to go visit my parents in upstate NY (just north of Utica) and Schenectady was the stop after Albany/Rensselaer. I have never actually been there though. Upstate NY is really pretty though.

I agree, upstate NY is underrated. However the further upstate you go, the more MAGA it gets.

It is underrated. The air is clean and there is plenty of water. Weather is pretty good for nine months out of the year. Lots of great places for hikes or other day trips, lots of history too. New England is nearby. You should check out the Troy area too, or Rensselaer County.
