The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI gave my dog her weekly bath with her Oatmeal Dog Shampoo and she is now ignoring me.
She has skin problems in the summer.
I know she feels better, she looks better.
I think she is trying to make me feel guility.

(4,056 posts)I remember when my ex hub and I took our Golden to be groomed and de flea-ed. We kept him away from the beach for 3 days, but he got so restless I finally couldn't torture him anymore. So I park the car, let him off the leash, and the first thing he does is find a dead sea lion and rub all over it! I had to turn the hose on him when I brought him home, and he was NOT happy with me for days!
Oh, and just in case it isn't clear, I'm speaking of the Golden Retriever, not the ex husband. Or as I like to say: the four-legged dog, not the two-legged one.

(50,130 posts)I use an oatmeal and aloe vera soap on my border collie, but he still ends up itchy. And yes, he's flea treated. I've been wondering if there's something even more soothing for him.

I hate summer because of it.
My poor dog just has to stay out of the heat.
