(1,847 posts)I've done the same thing with my cats. They'll be hunting a bug flying around a lamp, all they need is a little lift to get in range!

(12,153 posts)yesterday when I was baking chicken breasts for my poodle. The flies were drawn to the accidentally part-open door like, well...flies.
Good job, little toad or froggy!

(12,463 posts)When my mom put a bag of mulch too close to the house it got earwigs in it. And the earwigs migrated to our basement.
Mom was upset about the earwigs. I told her give me a chance to get rid of them.
I went outside caught a toad. The earwigs were gone in less than a week. A toads favorite meal is earwigs. Toads are predators of earwigs and most any other bug.
By time I was ready to let that toad go free there were 3 other toads in our basement to catch.
I put them outside and they came back and decided to live in our basement. All of them.
Would see one hopping around at night once in awhile.
We had no more bugs in the house.
Mom and I thought the toads were cute.
