So who knows what geographic feature Mr. L is looking at in this pic

Most of y'all know where Mr L is FROM at this point, I have to think (and also where I live now ... but this obviously ain't nothing to do with where I live now )

Who can tell me:
1) What am I looking at (and I don't mean the house), and
2) Approximately where am I standing when I took this picture?

You may've reckoned I'm from the SF Bay Area given the last post of mine you replied to :) Hugh_Lebowski Jul 2021 #2

And I am standing ... not really THAT far from Half Moon Bay

Also I'm pretty sure Diamond Head is on Oahu, as an aside

I don’t remember the ridge line looking like that when I fished a trawler out of there in the late 80’s. Of course I rarely traveled farther than the harbor bar..

And definitely not visible from the ocean ... though the Mountain can definitely be seen from certain spots atop the Oakland Hills on a clear day ... those hills are only about 5 miles from the eastern part of SF Bay. OR if you got atop the large Radio Tower that dominates the SF Skyline you could probably also see this mountain, way off in the distance, if the day was REALLY clear

If you look closely towards the center of the picture, you can see the sound walls built around highway 680S, running roughly left to right.

Definitely spring, after a reasonably wet winter (this was 2017).
