Mr. C. S. Forester is an undeservedly forgotten author.

Truly a classic film.

(17,194 posts)I like Bogart and both Hepburns. But I am not real fond of "Sabrina," simply because it seems rather to glorify someone who is pretty blatantly a golddigger. As cute as Audrey is, her eye for the main chance is kind of disconcerting.
"African Queen" is a different kettle of fish altogether.

(82,849 posts)Featured big band music on the playlist, no televisions, and a raft of Bogart memorabilia: posters, photographs, production stills. Good beer and pinball machines. They also had framed quotes from some of his movies, and the one I've always remembered was from The African Queen: "Well I ain't sorry no more, you crazy, skinny, psalm-singin' old maid!"
