He was very like a dog, went out in snow and rain, dug in leaves and dirt, came when I whistled and obeyed some commands but he looked like a grey tabby. His name was Guy, my puppy cat. LoL

Having a dog that resembles a cat would be cool. Don't think there's one in my future, but I suspect there will be a flood of interest in this breed due to this video. Thanks for sharing this.

I have a dachshund beagle mix who behaves like a cat in many ways. He does not come when I whistle, doesn't obey, leaps onto and over objects and is a bit of a clown.

My old orange tom was such a dog cat (as we called him). He came when called, would follow us around the house, had to go outside when we were outside & come back in when we did & did not jump on table or counters. Training with a spray bottle worked very well for that with him. However, it didn't work on getting him to stop sharpening his claws on the furniture.

Of course, we go through a fair number of scratching posts.

4. Both of ours were feral rescues and neither are very interested in scratching posts, wish they were.

I have put one by the new couch that was being clawed, it is being ignored but it kinda blocks the angle being used before so haven't seen either kitty there since. The thing is they do this when I'm not in the room, they know I don't like them clawing the furniture because I yell at them about it.

We did cover our kitchen chairs about 2 weeks ago and so far the cats are leaving these totally alone. Those chairs were their favorites for claw sharpening.. They're really bright and stretchy and maybe they don't like that?
