Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Rawhide, Have Gun Will Travel -- my father loved Westerns and he controlled the TV, so it was Westerns we watched!

I’m right here! I think you got to the crux of my issue. As a kid, I spent many a Saturday afternoon at the Kiddie Matinee, and I always got real concerned behind the “Tranch” flicks. I was convinced I’d find one in my bed that night.

I remember coming home from kindergarten and there was a tarantula right at the doorway. I can still hear the sound of my screaming 65 years later. My mother came running out with a can of Black Flag. I had to step over the decomposing legs for weeks. I was scared they were going to resurrect and get me later.

There’s a reason these creatures have a starring role every October 31st.
