(4,260 posts)4. I had a good ol' dog who would not leave our side if we were sick.
My little one at the time had croup (bad barking type of cough) and the dog would just lie next to this bed. Then as he was getting better, my older son had ACL surgery on his knee. Our dog just moved over to his bedroom and stayed there until he was back to moving around better. It was at this time that my husband woke up one morning and found our dog sleeping soundly next to his side of the bed. We both just looked at each other, wondering if our good ol' dog knew something we didn't.
She lived to be 17 yrs old & was the best dog ever.
