(3,344 posts)What a heart warming video of people helping animals and animals being attuned, sentient, uniquely intelligent beings.
That made my day, as early as it is. Blessings

(21,480 posts)4 years ago we caught a goose with a broken wing and I took it to a refuge where it lived the life of Riley.
I notice a goose limping almost every year, and they are almost impossible to catch because they can still fly. A worker at the golf course saw the following; a goose was swimming in a pond and snapping turtle latched on to his/her leg and that's how he/she got the limp.

(21,480 posts)Last year I came upon a huge snapping turtle a ways away from the pond. His shell was laden with pond scum/debris so I decided to lighten his load and started scraping the scum off his shell. The ungrateful SOB tried to take a bite out of my 7 iron.

(23,356 posts)I've heard a number of stories of geese protecting their mates. This is one of the cooler ones.
