I thought this was pretty cool.

The New York Yankees are playing the Chicago White Sox in Dyersville, Iowa tonight, on a field that is spitting distance from the original diamond built in a corn field for the iconic 1989 Kevin Costner film.

When I was a kid, dad bought a house outside Gaithersburg, MD. Like many young boys, living in the suburbs, I played little league. One of our ball fields was right next to a cornfield! It was along the 3rd baseline, so the only way you were going to hit a ball into it was to foul it away, but the movie always makes me think of playing on that field.
