(21,449 posts)a chocolate milkshake and fries at McDonald's, I used to dip the fries in the milkshake. Loved the salt and chocolate milkshake combo.
Also prefer salted nuts on ice cream sundae over unsalted.
I like the sweet and salty combo with other foods, too.

(801 posts)Make an Ice Cream Sandwich with butter pecan ice cream on Ritz Crackers.... That gives it the salty taste. Delicious!

(7,627 posts)I love cantaloupe and I have always put salt on it because that's what my dad used to do. When I moved to the US in my 20's I got introduced to watermelon. For some reason it's inexistant in France, cantaloupe however is grown in the south of France and is very popular. We also cut small cantaloupes in half , remove the seeds and fill with port wine. It's a popular appetizer or served with drinks.

(9,966 posts)Lime juice on cantaloupe. I don't salt my ice cream but I do like salted caramel swirl ice cream. It took me awhile to get used to that though.

(15,381 posts)You should try Tajin. Mexican-American and Mexican fruit vendors who sell cups of fruit - mango, watermelon, cantaloupe, etc. flavor it with Tajin. It's quite tasty.
