It was driving me crazy. Besides not really having a trusted hairdresser, and staying in due to Covid, I didn't have money for a hair cut.
I'm sure it's not perfect, but my hair is curly (at least when it's above my shoulders) so hopefully the curls will hide the mistakes.

(5,442 posts)My hair is curly, too. I stumbled upon a youtube video that suggested I section it and then use a flatiron on each section before cutting. I'm quite pleased with the result. I can't blame covid for not having a trusted stylist. No one has ever cut it to my satisfaction.

I had my mid-back length straight hair in braids and, yep - just snipped those little tails off an inch or so! Seemed to work, for awhile!!

(38,557 posts)I cut length, but there's no layers, and I'm not too happy about how it came out.
Good thing I never go anywhere.
It needs some layers.

(53,410 posts)I have straight hair and wear it long. Ive learned how to cut a blunt end which is good. Ive saved a lot of money and heartbreak over the years. The handful of times I had it cut were not good.
