send me a PM if you know of someone who needs a star. prefer to do this as a nomination to have someone "vouch" for the recipient since I just don't know many here that don't have one. will consider direct request but rather have a nomination.

I haven't been around too much this week and I hate to let something like that expire. there is always somebody during the year I wish I could help and can't but at the moment I am kind of blank and out of the loop of regular and new non-troll DUers...

I awarded a star anonymously, then saw someone else very deserving

Choosing the first two people I came to without a star membership.

I did check to see how long they've been a member, how many posts they had, and if they had any posts removed. After that it's pretty much a crap shoot.

There are quite a few people who are deserving, though. Times are tough for so many right now.

7. I don't think you can do it now

that was available only during the fund drive. send a PM to EarlG, he might do it for you, I am not sure. you could just send the person some money and they could sign up themselves. it only really takes one dollar to do it.

8. We used to be able to on DU.2, but this offer was only good through the fund drive, I believe

And I wish that we could as well, since I could think of more than one person I wanted to choose.
