My first great-grandchild, Lilliana Rosemary Dawn, was born at 4:39 am this morning. I don't know yet what her birth weight was, but I have seen pictures. She was very wide awake and has chubby cheeks and a full head of dark curls. A perfect little girl!

(9,967 posts)I know that Rosemary is for her paternal grandfather's mom. I'm thinking Dawn may be her mother's mom. I'm actually the mom of her step-grandmother, who chooses to be called Bebe. Our family is a little bit tangled but nobody much cares. The more grands and great grands a child has, the better!

**Don't call yourself "nani" to anyone from Japan. In Japanese, it means "What?"

(12,132 posts)My granddaughters are 19 and 21 so I expect it'll happen sooner than later. They got to know their great-great grandfather for a little while and I hope to someday meet my great-greats.
