Was when I took a little piece of paper in 1972. There was a purple owl on the 4" x 5" master sheet.
Life was never quite the same after that experience.

My first was an innocuous little pink pill, which was sold as guaranteed laboratory acid, probably to allay the hesitancy of the consumer.

(9,657 posts)Different intense experiences yes, but similar. Mescaline, mushrooms or peyote always seemed a bit different.
By far and above, the best "seeing god" moments for me was after ingesting some ground up Hawaiian Baby Woodrose. The world fell into place with so much love for everyone and everything in it during that spell. In fact, shortly afterwards I completely stopped using psychedelics - like there was no longer a reason to. That must've been about 1973 or so.
Thanks for the post. Tons of memories came flooding right on back.

My point exactly. Once you get to the top, what's the point of doing it again?
My last trip was @ 1985 or so, at a Dead/Little Feat concert at Oxford Hills Speedway in Oxford Hills, ME.. Those Psyilly mushrooms turned that into a fascinating moment, in my space/time continuum.

In an army barracks, 1972.
Many other strange trips over the course of 3 years, but that one was "special"..
I don't think I would want to drop again at this point in life.
