What a difference a week makes
Smokey went from a frightened, hissing, swatting little spitfire feral kitten who was VERY protective of her siblings, to now being a totally habituated love bug, as are all of her siblings. She's curled up next to me, on the chair, right now, as content as a kitten can be. Well, truth be told, they are all pretty content.
