Today was the first day all four kittens curled up on me, and fell asleep

Three were on my shoulders and one on my lap. And the one on my lap was the most gratifying. It was Smokey, who for the first few days did a lot of hissing, spitting and swatting at me. A whole lot. To have her curled up, snoozing away on my lap was like -"SUCCESS!!"

That's a home run, when it comes to feral kittens. Slowly they are coming around.

3. It's a warm and satisfying feeling

when feral cats and kittens trust you.
I have two who will be off to the JSPCA next week and one that's a week old.
This is the mother cat who usually neglects her kittens, but she only had one this time and is doing a great job.

I think we lost three of the males during the tropical storm last week. Haven't seen any of them since last Tuesday. I even had some of the kids looking for them but we can't find them anywhere and they sure would have come for food by now. I fear they drowned in the little gully between properties.
