(50,566 posts)Wright was in love with flat roofs. I wouldn't even put one on a factory.

(4,399 posts)Too pricey and isolated for me! I was once privileged to work in a FLW-designed building that had been built for a previous owner as a medical clinic. It was a lot of fun to give unofficial tours of the bldg. to architecture fans with their cameras.

(42,634 posts)and the ceiling TV (*eye roll*) was on a program called Bargain Mansions. I saw most of two shows and wasnt terribly impressed with the renovations this lady was making. The second show was of a lovely older home and while it did need work, the changes she was making didnt seem in keeping with the house. She found the original blueprints in the basement and it was a Clarence Shepard house, someone who had worked with Frank Lloyd Wright. She was going to get the (torn) blueprints framed, I guess so the new buyers could always be reminded how far shed deviated from the original plan.
