If you were in your teens before rock'n'roll existed, did you ever buy any records? if you did,

what did you buy?

If you didn't, why didn't you? No money? Nothing that appealed to you? Never got to a record store?

PS--if you don't qualify, maybe you can ask your parents/grandparents.

The first record I bought then was Bill Haley's Rock Around The Clock.
