Used a cartoon found on DU this morning.
The nice girl a the desk asked if she could help me find anything. I asked if they had any of those feed bags you put over a horses head. She said "oh yes, the Easy Feeder". I said yup, I just read on the internet that they work great to prevent the COVID. She looked down for about 3 seconds and then came up laughing. Said she had to think about it for a second.

(62,461 posts)My understanding is that back in the 1880s / 90s Republicans of the day came up with the idea that the rich could move money to the poor much as horses would feed birds. After the horse (the wealthy) ate oats and the oats would pass through their systems and wind up in their manure. The birds (you and me) would then get their nourishment by eating the oats from the manure of the horses.
In the 1970s & 80s basically the same mechanism became trickle down.
So (and this is true) trickle down is horseshit.
So give a Republican manure and they can make an economic system out of it.

(17,360 posts)I was only one wearing a mask out of about 12 people in this red town. New Covid cases at all time high,
CEO of hospital warned us of Delta spreading locally, so I asked check out clerk if she was aware of the
Delta variant going around. She started shouting "WHO CARES blah blah blah" Was going to reply but I
figured she had already made a big fool of herself, so I grabbed my stuff and walked out quietly.
