We always had beagles when I was a kid, and my Dad belonged to the National Beagle Club. Walking down to the kennels during club events was great! 50 beagles, all singing together!

The scent drive overrides any training. I adore beagles but, after having labs and pitties, I’ll never have another. Having and easily trainable dog was a revelation after the beagles of my youth!

Beagles are smart little buddies, they just can’t help but be ruled by their noses.
