My last few days with all 4 kittens. I think I might miss this, the most

Just something about kitten trust. They feel safe. It's been quite a journey from the frightened, hissing, spitting kittens I took in, 6 weeks ago, to these wonderful little snuggle bugs. This might just be one of my proudest achievements.

The lawns are mowed and heavy rain is on the way. I intend to spend the rest of the day, and maybe even tomorrow, snuggling with kittens and Sophie Stinky Toes. So, be prepared. There might be an onslaught of photos.

They were both significantly smaller. Squeaky's food aggression tells me he wasn't getting enough to eat. As time has gone on, he's gotten less insecure, although he does still try to steal food from his siblings. I just re-direct him to his own food bowl.

I needed that, today. Betty (our 13-year-old remaining "litter mate" who outlived her brother by two years) left us Sunday evening and I'm not over it yet.

You have my empathy. I once had a dog that ran his own cat rescue out of the back of my house. He passed a couple of years ago. We still have most of the cats though!

for those sweet little cuddle bugs. Enjoy the time with those precious kitties. You gave them an excellent start, and the will live a much safer life with caring cat parents, because of you, and your commitment to them and loving kindness you gave to them.

To me,they're sacred.
They are purest form of love.

I'd have a hell of a time letting go of any of them.

You did such a stellar job rescuing those kittens. I loved all the photos and look forward to the ones you will take before they part ways with you.

And Bast bless those kittens make sure those kittens are safe loved and adored for all thier days.
Sekhmet, protect those kittens from harm formed or formless, and bless them for all thier days.

It is not easy - I know. Saving cats takes a lot of patience and love and you were successful in all. Can't imagine what would have happened to them if you didn't jump in like you did. Instead of a harsh life you prepared them for life in loving homes. Parting will be hard but you know they are headed for loved lives. Bring on more pics!!

described him as aggressive and territorial. The first night we had him he curled up to my daughter scolisis back when she cried. He would not leave her. Later on he played a game with her to make her laugh. He defended me from big dogs. I think he would have protected their baby with his life! We had him til he was 16 years old. Miss him 30 years later.
