3. Fun factoid: The iron giant is animated with twice the frame rate of the other hand-drawn characters

so as to give its motion a smoothness that viewers may only pick up on subliminally.

I put this in the top ten of all animated movies I've ever seen.

6. Another fun fact....at some point in the film...

...There is an interview with a couple of strangers about the "Iron Giant"...The "Strangers" are interviewed for only a couple
of minutes, then the movie moves on. Most people don't know that those two strangers were two of the most well known
animators that were living at the time.. "Frank" and "Ollie," the two trainmen that Kent interviews after the derailment, are caricatures of Disney classic animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston.
..Brad Bird purposely put in that interview for the purpose of having those animators appear in an animated film..
