Sort of a synthetic town, but that little boy can play the mandolin...

1. Atomic Foggy Mountain Breakdown.

2. It's a great lab. My son interned there, and I dropped him off and did the tour.

There is, it seems, no town, just a series of strip malls. In a way, that's not surprising. The lab was put there to be remote.

3. We lived next to to Argonne National Laboratory, it made for an interesting neighborhood ...

... with well educated and rounded people, a lot of them from other countries around the world.

4. I'll bet. Living near Princeton is kind of like that.

The highlight for me was that I got to spend about two hours with Free.an Dyson in his office chatting about his life.

The rest has more or less fallen into the category of scientific celebrity sightings.

I do find the types of people one meets or overhears around here bright and incisive generally, although we do have our share of idiots as well.
