2. It's a great lab. My son interned there, and I dropped him off and did the tour.

There is, it seems, no town, just a series of strip malls. In a way, that's not surprising. The lab was put there to be remote.

The highlight for me was that I got to spend about two hours with Free.an Dyson in his office chatting about his life.

The rest has more or less fallen into the category of scientific celebrity sightings.

I do find the types of people one meets or overhears around here bright and incisive generally, although we do have our share of idiots as well.
