The day we brought Goldie home, she jumped on the couch and leaned her head on my shoulder. This is the same behavior she exhibits whenever I sound slightly upset. Whether she wants affection, or she wants to comfort me, I have to pay my dues and pet her.

All of our dogs have been rescue dogs. We rescue them and they, in turn, rescue us.

You never know what kind of dorky, charming and hilarious quirks these guys will have. Turns out with this one, he follows my wife everywhere like a little shadow, and spends his time looking for her when she has to be away. He is a precious little treasure, and we're spoiling him rotten.
