Not worth the $13.99 for two pack. Didnt bake evenly. Kinda dry although the pepperoni was decent. Virtually no sauce to speak of. Crap cheese.
I make a better one with a package of Kroger pizza dough mix, Colby Jack cheese, and Kroger pepperoni. All for about four bucks.
Tried the second pie from the two pack and it was very good. Im thinking something went sideways during preparation or packaging.

(11,690 posts)Thin crust!
The best pizza crust is easy to make at home and starts with organic unbleached flour.

(20,228 posts)I prefer a nice hand tossed crust. Not to thin and not too thick.

(2,580 posts)ready to use pizza dough-quite good IMHO. I roll it out , pre-bake in hottest possible oven until it just begins to color (7-8min.), add toppings and run it back in the oven another approx. 10 min. -almost always great pizza.

(4,044 posts)It used to be thick and spicey.
The last batch I bought is significantly changed, now noticeably watery and bland.
It's not the first time I liked a Costco product, and then after being a regular buyer, they cheapened the quality while retaining the price.

(1,654 posts)It's not the first time a regional product you rave about to friends disappoints when it goes national or is bought out by a national brand. But it is embarrassing when you highly recommend something and the product changes as friends try it and wonder about your taste buds.

(20,597 posts)I think what happens is that large businesses negotiate the lowest price possible - often after doing analysis of the vendor's costs and making suggestions how to lower those costs. The business locks into the deal and find they are not making enough so they start to short-change the product to save on costs. Then they try to negotiate a higher price and wither the product disappears because people are not buying it anymore or they allow a price increase.
A friend tried to get his product with Costco but gave up when he saw how "in your business" it can get.

(32,833 posts)... because I've never found one with a crust that I liked. Also my freezer is so small that I don't have room for those big pizzas anyway so it's easy to pass them up in the grocery store.
However I did find the frozen pizzas made with french bread ... rather yummy!

(32,833 posts)It was the frozen crust from grocery store pizza that I never liked.
As an aside have you ever tried Home Run Inn or Gino's East? They both have a flaky, buttery, more pastry like crust. IIRC correctly, you can't rally get a pizzeria style crust at home. The temps in pizzeria ovens are much higher than what can be produced in a home oven.

(2,026 posts)This is our favorite frozen pizza. Its yummy on its own. I always add toppings to frozen pizza when I have time, and this is an excellent base to start from. We bought a bunch of these when hosting one of our first pandemic-era get together picnics. We added Adams Cacio e Pepe sprinkle to the tops plus more onions and extra cheese (there is no such thing as a frozen pizza with the correct amount of cheese), and did a couple additional topping on a couple of the pizzas for variety. We got rave reviews. Ill always buy these when my store isnt out.

(12,132 posts)My whole family loves it. We discovered it about a month ago and have had it at least 4 times since then. I think it's better than 90% of the delivery around here and way better than all the other frozen pizzas.

(12,132 posts)all pillowy fluffy inside and crispy outside with a ton of pepperoni. I like the idea upthread about adding more cheese but then, "more cheese" is a motto I can go for.
I wonder if the difference is the other meats - our Costco only has the 3-meat version. I wish they would carry the supreme and the pepperoni only. Variety is the spice of life! Well, variety and Melange from Arrakis.
