I had a brand new sheathing air conditioning unit for then in July and the furnace was working okay for a couple weeks and everything just stopped yesterday. It's like it has no power at all I changed the switch going to the furnace there is power getting to there. When you turn the thermostat up nothing happens if you turn the fan on on and not Auto nothing happens if I try to click on the air-conditioning unit nothing happens. I changed the batteries and the thermostat and that didn't do anything should I change the thermostat

I'm not an expert at this, but one is sitting right here next to me

Possible fuse in control board is blown. There is a little 3 amp fuse in control board. Fuse is usually purple.
I hope this is helpful.

My worst nightmare is for AC to fail.

They vary in how much customer support they will provide to consumers.
But worth a try to call troubleshooting or look for diagnostic videos online.
I would think the unit to still be covered under warranty, as it's really brand new.

(8,445 posts)What is a sheathing a/c unit?
I just had a new furnace put in on Tuesday. I opted to not have the a/c unit replaced because where I live in Colorado evaporative coolers can do a pretty good job of cooling the house for a fraction of the price. Last year I only turned on the a/c unit one time, so I didn't think it was worth it to spend another $5500 on a new one.
I've never heard of a sheathing a/c unit. ?
